Pulaski Elks Lodge announces Hoop Shoot Contest for elementary and middle schools
Last week, Elks Hoop Shoot Chairman Leslie Turpin visited all county elementary and middle schools distributing hoop shoot registration forms.
The Pulaski Elks Hoop Shoot Contest 2012 will be held Jan. 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Central Gymnasium. All Pulaski County elementary and middle school coaches and staff have been invited to conduct basketball foul shot contests in their PE and recreation classes. Students in gender and age classifications of 8 to 13 years age are eligible to compete to be their school’s champion . The individual school champs are invited to compete in their age and gender groups in the annual Elks Hoop Shoot Contest in January.
The winner of the Pulaski Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot will be eligible for the district contest held in Martinsville, with district winners progressing on to the state shoot-off.
