Hokies men edge Virginia for ACC cross country crown

BLACKSBURG – When Virginia Tech’s cross country team learned last year where this season’s ACC championships were to be held, there was some concern.

“When we found out we were hosting, everybody got a little nervous,” senior co-captain Will Mulherin said of his teammates, who were worried about the difficulty of the rolling Tech course. “I got the team together and said, ‘Guys, this is a big advantage for us.’”

Mulherin had it right.
