CHRISTIANSBURG – After not getting a chance to touch the ball much in the first half, the Cave Spring offense made up for lost time in a dominating second half performance Friday night.
Trailing 24-13 at halftime, Cave Spring (5-4, 3-1) rallied for 24 unanswered points on offense while pitching a shutout on defense to defeat Christiansburg 37-24 in a River Ridge District showdown.
Friday night was also Christiansburg’s homecoming.
