NRU U-15 Girls team wins Skyline Soccer League division
The U-15 Girls team from New River United won their division in the Skyline Soccer League, this past Saturday, Nov. 3, with a 1-0 victory over visiting Valley Football Club. The team had a record of 6-1-1 on the season and competed against teams from Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Roanoke and Staunton.
The team also competed in two tournaments this fall, going 3-0, in the Sun Cup in Virginia Beach, competing in the President’s Cup in Richmond, and also in the State Cup. The team includes players from Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Giles and Dayspring Academy. The coaches want to thank the parents for their support this season, and especially the players for their passion, their commitment, and their love of the sport.
