On the cusp of an upset that would have been a shining moment in an otherwise bleak season, Virginia Tech instead suffered its most heartbreaking loss to date.
Florida State receiver Rashad Greene caught a pass on a crossing pattern and out-raced the Hokies defense to the end zone for a 39-yard touchdown with 40 seconds left, lifting the No. 8 Seminoles to a thrilling 28-22 victory at Lane Stadium on Thursday night.

Happy to see Logan Thomas have some good throws, but still wondering and head-scratching over many of the play calls, especially throwing over the middle in traffic with 30 sec left in the game? Maybe that was a QB read, but LT should have been told not even to consider it. But the real problem in this game, aside from overall lack of production on O, was Marcus Davis. If we an make a tight end into a QB, maybe we can turn a wideout into a corner – certainly no passes will be caught within 5 yards of Davis…
