BCF United soccer team wins NRU championship in overtime

BCF United defeated DPR 2-1 in overtime to take the New River United Adult Sport League championship.
BCF was 6-1-1 during the regular season and was seeded second in the tournament. After solid wins over the Black Knights and FC Fusion in the first round and semifinals, BCF faced a stiff challenge from DPR.
DPR had a slight upper-hand during the first half and scored first, taking a 1-0 lead at about the 12-minute mark. BCF began to take over the game late in the half and into the second half, getting the equalizer from Phil Lambert at the 65-minute mark. Both teams had further opportunities, but regulation time ended in a 1-1 tie. After a scoreless first overtime period, BCF got the game winner from Zack Biskaduros at 96 minutes.
