ACC honors Tech coach
Virginia Tech’s Ben Thomas has been named the ACC men’s cross country coach of the year for the first time.
At the league championships last month, Thomas guided the squad to to its first ACC team crown. Tech’s Will Mulherincq was the individual champ of that race.
The men’s team advanced to the NCAA championships for the first time since 1987. Tech finished 22nd, with only five of its seven runners able to finish the race.
