Former Blue Demon named athlete of the week
Roanoke College senior Carmen Graves was named this week’s ODAC Athlete of the Week in Women’s Indoor Track. It was the fourth time the former Christiansburg High School standout has taken the weekly honor in the sport.
This past weekend Graves took first place in her first-ever start in the 3000-meter run at the Liberty Kickoff with a time of 10:15.98.
Last year Graves was named USTFCCCA Division III South/Southeast Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year for her performance in the 800-Meter run. She also placed third in the 800M at the NCAA Indoor Track Championships.
