Tariq Edwards ready for comeback
When Hokies linebacker Tariq Edwards had off-season surgery to insert a rod in his leg to alleviate pain from a stress fracture in his shin, the initial recovery time had him returning to the field in August, just in time for the start of the season.
A second surgery pushed that back to September. Weeks went by and Edwards still wasn’t quite himself, clearly favoring one side as he ran, only briefly appearing against Bowling Green.
By the end of October, when he was given the opportunity against Clemson for a few snaps and still couldn’t move right, it was clear that this would be a lost season for the redshirt junior.
