Blacksburg’s Zhang 3rd in junior golf event
PINEHURST, N.C. — Christopher Zhang’s fledgling golf career continues to trend upwards.
The Blacksburg resident finished third for the second straight year in 11-and-under division of the prestigious Donald Ross Junior Championship that concluded Saturday at Pinehurst No. 1.
Zhang, who was one shot off the lead after a first-round 73, finished with a 36-hole total of 152 and finished five shots behind champion Grayson Wotnosky of Wake Forest, N.C.
