Five young men from the New River Valley Lacrosse Club attended Roanoke College Winter Showcase lacrosse camp this past weekend (Jan. 5-6).
They were coached by college coaches from a variety of schools from around the mid-Atlantic and showed their skills to at least 15 other college coaches watching from the press box.
The boys made a good showing playing with some of the best high school players from Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio and other surrounding states. They came away from the camp with better skills, a chance to meet and talk with some college coaches and some new friends, too.
