When the weather outside is frightful, nail art is so delightful!
When winter comes and temperatures start to drop, I like to stay inside and paint my nails. I transform each one of my nails into a miniature canvas. I love painting a scene on my nails that extends beyond one nail and involves putting your fingers together like a puzzle.
Nail art reflects my personality and it’s a great way to express my creativity. To paint my nails I use an assortment of tools that includes a delicate, single-haired brush and dotting tools for making special patterns. My nail art is extremely detailed, to the extent that some people have even joked that they need a magnifying glass to see my designs.
Since everyone’s nails are unique, I love the challenge of painting on a variety of “canvases.” I’m open to painting almost anything. Recently, I painted Pokémon-themed nails for a friend. I’ve painted everything from classic paintings like Van Gogh’s “Starry Night,” to modern pop culture themed nails like “The Hunger Games.” Nail art continues to be a fun hobby for me year round, but I especially love painting seasonal nails. You should try your hand at it during the upcoming holidays!
