Amanda O'ReillyHi! Just wanted to say that I enjoy your blog. I also wanted to give my personal opinion about one of the hotels listed. My husband, our two huskies Kodi and Kiara, and myself stayed at a Super 8 in Pigeon Forge, TN and didn't really enjoy it. It wasn't so..."Super". They charged us the pet fee -which I totally understand and explained to us that there would be an additional fee of up to $50 if there were any significant damages. Well...one of our dogs did pee in the room, but it wasn't a lot. We got charged an extra $100 and was told that the whole floor was soaked and that they would have to clean the sheets and mattresses. I explained that the floor wetness was because I accidently spilled the water when we were packing up (which is the honest to God truth). The manager then proceeded to ask if we left them unattended at all -we did. She wanted to know if they were "contained". Well, of course they were...we lugged both of their indoor crates and made sure they were secured before we left. All that being said...if anyone is coming to town during Thanksgiving...I would NOT recommend staying at the Super 8. Isolated incident or not...

NonaThanks for the tip, Amanda. Sorry to hear that hotel manager was such a pain. I hope it didn't ruin your trip.
If any other readers have had bad (or good) experiences with hotels, post a comment.
