August 8, 2008Another cyber social site for dogsMove over, Dogster. There's a new pooch-centered social network sniffing butts on the Web, doggyspace.com. The mutt Web site is a MySpace/Facebook mix that allows pet parents to create pages for their pooches and share stories, photos and videos. According to an Associated Press report, Doggyspace has logged more than 700 registered, active user profiles since its launch last month. Levi Thornton, founder of the site and president of web development firm Mad Frog Productions in Fredericksburg, said he projects Doggyspace will have more than two million accounts by the end of the year. "There's a lot of people out there with their dogs and we're busy and we're all working in the office all day long and this is a way for us to bring our pets with us," said Thornton, who has a Yorkie named Nokie and a pit bull named Ein.
