The bright side of DST

Thai sunshineAll this week folks have been grumbling about the switch to daylight saving time. Losing that hour of sleep hurts, especially on Monday morning. And Tuesday and Wednesday, for that matter.

But Thai happens to be a big fan of the spring forward clock move. Of course, he doesn’t have to get up any earlier, so it’s a little easier for him to adjust.

Yesterday afternoon, while the light was still shining bright through the windows past 6 p.m., he found a warm sun spot on the couch next to me and snuggled in for some serious cuddle time.

He even purred.

Welcome spring!

I like it because our cats don’t start stirring in the morning until the sun comes up. So, for a while, we get some extra uninterupted sleep!
