Greyhounds have almost no body fat (don’t hate, it’s metabolic) so when it’s cold outside, they need to wear coats. The rule is if I need a coat, they need a coat.
But I have always been concerned about their ears. Those OMG-SO-SOFT ears always get so darned cold when they go out in the winter, and it takes a lot of rubbing to get them warm. The greyhounds, of course, don’t seem to mind that part.
But then one day, while cruising around the Internet, I discovered snoods. Think of it like a sock/hood for the head of the skinny hounds.
So we got our greyhound girls custom made snoods we found on an Etsy shop for Christmas. And of course, we had to let them try them on before they went into their Christmas stockings.
And now? Our beautiful dogs look like Dobby the House Elf from the Harry Potter movies. But their ears? Will be toasty warm.
