Appalachain Power offers new community persentation
Appalachian power is offering presentations about how to handle a power outage. Here is more information from the power company:
Appalachian Power’s speakers’ bureau has a new presentation called When the Lights Go Out, and it is available to clubs and organizations throughout the company’s service territory.
The presentation addresses what customers should do if they experience a power outage, explains the process Appalachian Power goes through to restore electricity and offers important safety measures that will help people prepare for a power outage.
A second presentation that was introduced last year is also still available. Watt, Why and How is a presentation that covers our nation’s demand for energy, provides an overview and update on the company’s rate structure and offers ways for people to use energy more efficiently.
The presentations can be customized for just about any size or type of audience, and usually last about 30 minutes which allows for questions from the audience. To request a speaker, write to appalachianpowerspeakersbureau@aep.com or call 540-984-2914.
