Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital has received a Consumer Choice award for the seventh consecutive year from the National Research Corporation. Here is a press release from Carilion:
The National Research Corporation (NRC) has recognized Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) with its annual Consumer Choice award, which identifies hospitals that healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image.
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s “Ticker” study – the largest, most comprehensive study of its kind. The analysis involved the health care “decision makers” in area households, part of a survey of more than 250,000 households nationwide.
“Dedication to providing high quality healthcare has become essential for all hospitals, said Ginny Martin, President of NRC’s Ticker Division. “In the face of adversity, these Consumer Choice award winners exemplify the dedication it takes to provide quality healthcare to their communities, and we are pleased to honor them through the eyes of their patients.”
Of the 3,200 hospitals named by consumers in the study, the winning facilities rank highest in their Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs), as defined by the US Census Bureau. CRMH was one of only 300 hospitals nationwide receiving the Consumer Choice Award for the highest ranking in its market. The Roanoke market includes Roanoke and Salem, and Botetourt, Craig, Franklin and Roanoke counties.
This is the seventh consecutive year CRMH has earned the Consmer Choice Award.
