Eastern-Virginia based law firm Rutter Mills has opened an office at 4648 Brambleton Avenue in Roanoke. Here are the details from Rutter Mills:

Rutter Mills, a personal injury law firm with offices in Norfolk and Newport News, Virginia, has recently announced an expansion to Roanoke to serve all of Southwest and Central Virginia.

The Roanoke office will be headed up by Eric Finley, a graduate of Rhodes College, and the College of William and Mary, with nearly 20 years of legal experience in the Roanoke area.

With both of the firm’s principal partners, C. Arthur “Brother” Rutter III, and Robert Mills, having roots in the area, Roanoke was the next logical area for the company’s growth. The new office, scheduled to open next week, will be located at 4648 Brambleton Avenue, serving all of Southwest and Central Virginia with an emphasis on the Roanoke, Lexington and Danville areas.

“I’m really glad we’re able to offer our services to Roanoke and Central Virginia because I’m a Lynchburg boy,” said Senior Managing Partner Robert Mills, a Lynchburg native and graduate of E.C. Glass High School, the Virginia Military Institute, and Washington and Lee School of Law. “Central Virginia is a place I feel a very strong connection to.”

Managing Partner Brother Rutter, a graduate of Harvard University and the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, Virginia, also spent much of his childhood with family members in Lynchburg and Amherst.

“We’ve always represented people all over our home state of Virginia,” Rutter said. “We have developed so many clients in Central and Southwest Virginia that we continue to expand our operation and open offices across the state. By having a local presence it allows all of our clients access to our strong developed statewide network from a local office with a local lawyer who understands the local courts and local judges.”
