Homeowners are invited to this speed dating-type event, where they will get a set amount of time to speak with professionals about home energy improvements.

Here is the press release about the event.
February 8, 2012 – (Roanoke, Virginia) – Homeowners today are considering improving their home’s energy efficiency, but often don’t know where to start. Who can help? What do I actually need to do? How can I pay for improvements?

Now homeowners can learn about the different aspects of home energy efficiency all in one spot. cafe2 (Community Alliance for Energy Efficiency), the Association for Energy Conservation Professionals (AECP) and Better Building Works are teaming up to create a speed dating event where homeowners can learn about the process by meeting professionals one-on-one.

Here’s how it works: Homeowners sit in front of a professional and get to have a personal conversation on a specific topic, from the audit process, to the types of improvements, to financing incentives. They can ask questions specific to their home and when the time is up, they visit the next professional. And one homeowner will leave the event with a free energy audit from Better Building Works.

WHEN:     Thursday, February 9, 2012, 5:30 p.m.

WHERE:     Lucky Restaurant, 18 Kirk Avenue SW, Roanoke, Virginia

WHO:    Gregg Lewis, cafe2 (Community Alliance for Energy Efficiency)
