Valley View Mall to host fundraiser for local children’s hospital
Valley View Mall is hosting Kids Helping Kids Fun Day fundraiser Feb. 25. A small donation will give families access to many activities, including a jump in the moon bounce, crafts, a petting zoo and more. All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in southwest Virginia. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Roanoke, VA (February 8, 2012) – Valley View Mall is excited to announce the second annual Kids Helping Kids FUN DAY benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® in Southwest Virginia. Kids Helping Kids FUN DAY will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Marble Court of Valley View Mall. This event will raise money for our local CMN Hospital, Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital (CCCH) the area’s only non-profit children’s hospital treating over 27,000 children a year. CMN Hospitals provides life saving equipment and services through fundraising efforts that support their mission.
For a small donation, families will enjoy a host of child-oriented activities including the chance to crawl through the inflatable planetarium (provided by Woodmen of the World), jump in the moon bounce, crafts sponsored by the Roanoke Parks and Recreation Department, Mill Mountain petting zoo, food samples, giveaways, and more. Children will also have the opportunity to meet various mascots from local restaurants and businesses.
Valley View Mall retailers have been selling $1 paper balloons and supporting CMN Hospitals in Roanoke throughout the month of February. Retailers are also donating prizes for raffles to be held during Kids Helping Kids FUN DAY. Valley View Mall is also generously donating all coins from the Marble Court fountain through Saturday, February 25.
