Christiansburg, VA – Shelton Insurance & Financial, Inc. is proud to partner with other local Nationwide Insurance agencies in New River Valley for a food drive to benefit the one million people in the Mid-Atlantic region who are food insecure.

The food drive will be August 1 through August 31, 2012 and will benefit food banks in Maryland, Delaware, District of Columbia and Virginia.

You can bring food to the Shelton Insurance’s office at 223 Central Avenue Christiansburg VA  24073 (next to McDonalds on Rt. 460).

“Through Nationwide’s Food Drive, you can give back and make a direct impact on the lives of people living in our community, said Kelly Shelton. “It’s easy to get involved and make a difference.”

The Nationwide Insurance Foundation recently made a $1.25 million grant to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief charity.

Nearly 14 million children are estimated to be served by Feeding America, over 3 million of which are ages 5 and under.
