Ram Tool and Supply expands footprint with acquisition of Roanoke supply company

Marco Supply in Roanoke has been acquired by Ram Tool and Supply Company in Birmingham. Ram now has 30 branches serving much of the southeastern part of the U.S.

Here is the press release from Ram Tool and supply company.

Birmingham based Ram Tool and Supply Company announces the acquisition of Marco Supply, headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia.  The acquisition adds 12 branches to Ram Tool’s existing group of 18, and expands the company’s reach up the Atlantic Coast.

“With this growth we will be able to bring Ram Tool service to existing customers and new relationships.  These are great markets for us.”  said Ram Tool CEO Hillery Head.

Ram Tool distributes tools and supplies to commercial contractors.  Its 30 branches stretch from San Antonio, Texas to Washington D.C.  Ram Tool’s focus is on excellent customer service, reflected by the company motto of One Call Gets All.

Founded by Roanoke’s Dave Jones, Marco’s roots are much the same as Ram Tool.  Both companies were started by Ramset dealers who grew their business by expanding their product and service offerings.  Marco strives for “seamless service throughout the Southeast,” and so will dovetail well into the existing Ram Tool footprint. Both companies retain a strong family atmosphere, and are family owned and operated.

Said Head, “We welcome the Marco employees into the Ram Tool family and culture.  Together we can do great things for our customers.”

Ram Tool now has branches in Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Head is optimistic for the future, saying “We are in for the long haul, and we see a great future for the construction industry.”
