The event will be sponsored by The Renick Group, National College, WDBJ 7, Roanoke Valley SHRM, the city’s Department of Economic Development, Roanoke County, and the City of Salem. Exhibits at the event will include companies offering jobs, entrepreneurial organizations showcasing resources to assist with business startups, lifestyle organizations with a diverse mix of social and cultural amenities, and financial information to assist attendees with awareness and knowledge of resources to help them move forward with their finances in 2013. More than 50 organizations will be represented at the event.

“These events provide the opportunity for job seekers to meet face-to-face with employers to learn of available positions and the best way to proceed with the application process,” says Lisa Soltis, Economic Development Specialist with the City of Roanoke. “Our recent career fairs have been very successful, and we continue our responsibility to grow the events with new entities to provide opportunities for job seekers to interact with employers, and for individuals to learn about resources in the community. We hope to reach individuals living in the Roanoke region, as well as those considering a move back to Roanoke and the recent December graduates entering the job market.”

Admission to the fair for attendees and exhibitors/vendors is free.
For more information on being an exhibitor, contact Lisa Soltis at 540-853-1694, lisa.soltis@roanokeva.gov or visit www.roanokeva.gov/fairs.
