The Small Business Administration is looking for nominations for its annual Small Business Awards. Nominations for the Small Business Person of the Year must be received by the SBA’s Richmond District Office no later than Jan. 3. All other category nominations must be received no later than Feb. 28. Additional categories can be found in the press release below. The SBA’s Richmond District Office is seeking nominations for its annual Small Business Awards, honoring Virginia’s small business, small business owners and entrepreneurs as well as other assistance organizations and small business champions.
This year’s Virginia’s Small Business Awards Ceremony event will be held in the Spring of 2013 during which the District Office will present several awards: including the SBA National Award for Virginia for the Small Business Person of the Year.
In addition, the SBA will also be recognizing a number of Small Business Champion Awards including:
• Small Business Exporter of the Year
• Family-Owned Business of the Year
• Financial Services Champion of the Year
• Minority Small Business Champion of the Year
• Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year, and
• Women in Business Champion of the Year
Nominations for the national award for Small Business Person of the Year must be submitted to the SBA Richmond District Office no later than January 3, 2013 or may be submitted directly to SBA’s web portal on http://www.sba.gov/.
Nominations for any of the six SBA Richmond District Office Awards listed above must be submitted to the SBA Richmond District Office no later than February 28, 2013.
