BLACKSBURG, Va., Jan. 28, 2013 – Michael H. Aldrich, Pamplin College of Business alumnus and head of client service of Brown Advisory in Baltimore, Md., will give the Wells Fargo Distinguished Lecture, sponsored by the Pamplin College, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 3:30 p.m. at the Holtzman Alumni Center’s Alumni Assembly Hall.

Aldrich’s talk is titled “Goals without plans.”

Aldrich oversees and manages the service professionals at the independently-owned investment firm, which manages more than $32 billion in family and institutional assets. He works closely with executive management on all client servicing and support issues, including the firm’s technology platform.

Aldrich was formerly vice president and national director of private client services at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, where he worked for nine years in various positions.

He grew up in a military family and has lived in more than a dozen locations around the world. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2002 from Virginia Tech and an executive master’s degree in leadership from Georgetown University.

Aldrich is a member of the advisory board in Pamplin’s finance department and is an officer in several Hokie alumni groups. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
