Helms and Wilkes Tax Service has opened a new location on Washington Avenue in Vinton. The new office has been providing taxation and accounting services since the end of January.

Owner Vincent Wilkes said the decision to open a second location was based on the amount of Vinton clients they received in their Salem office. Wilkes said  the new office provides a more convenient location for clients who live in the eastern part of Roanoke County.

Helms and Wilkes has five employees, counting Wilkes who divides his time between  Salem and Vinton.
