Here is the press release from Cox Communications.

Roanoke, VA – Prior to the start of the Campbell Brothers concert Friday evening, Cox Communications presented the Jefferson Center with a check in the amount of $1,000 in support of the Don Pullen Scholarship fund.  This donation will provide scholarships for students to attend the Jazz Institute this summer.

“At Cox, we embrace diversity both in the workplace and in our community,” said Kim Stanley, Market Vice President, Roanoke Operations for Cox Virginia. “We have a long-standing partnership with the Jefferson Center and are so proud of the work they do with Roanoke’s youth.  It is an honor to empower five deserving students to follow their dreams and enhance their educational experience through music.”

In addition to partnering with the Jefferson Center, Cox has provided culturally relevant, local programming highlighting African American heritage and culture. This content is available at no additional charge for Cox subscribers on DEMAND throughout the month of February.

Cox Communications’ commitment to diversity has been regularly recognized by DiversityInc. In 2012, Cox Communications was named to the 2012 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list for its demonstrated use of diversity best practices and measured results, both internally and externally; 2012 was Cox’s seventh year on the list.
