The first of two workshops hosted by the Center for Innovative Technology aimed at addressing the issues of funding small business research and technology firms began today at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center in Blacksburg. The first workshop covers an introduction to funding and sources of funding. The second workshop, held from October 3-4 at the Inn at Virginia Tech, will cover proposals for funding with ticket prices ranging from $70 to $90.

CIT is hosting a Funding Intro Session on September 18 at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. This two hour lunch session will provide an intro to SBIR/STTR grants, an overview of CIT’s SBIR/STTR support program, CIT’s GAP Seed Funds, and the Commonwealth Research Commercialization Fund. Lunch provided. Cost: Free.
