Our new issue is out today

Also of note: An interview with state Secretary of Natural Resources Douglas Domenech, who calls himself a “granola Republican” but also has unkind words for the EPA.

In this issue, we’re also kicking off our annual “20 Under 40″ awards. You can find the nomination form here. The deadline is August 2.

Now taking nominations for this year's "20 Under 40"

Do you know a business leader under age 40 who deserves to be recognized?

The Blue Ridge Business Journal is now taking nominations for our annual “20 Under 40″ awards.

We have the nomination form — and rules — online at www.bizjournal.com. (You have to go through the online form to be eligible.)

An innovation this year: We’ve assembled a panel of judges from last year’s winners who will review the nominations and make the selections.

The deadline for nominations is August 2. The winners will be published in the Sept. 20 issue of the Blue Ridge Business Journal.

Audio: BRBJ reporter Annie Johnson on WVTF-FM

Blue Ridge Business Journal reporter Annie Johnson can be heard every weekend on WVTF-FM talking about business news around the region.

The public radio station now has a permanent link where you can find the audio online if you missed it on the air.

Annie segment is every Friday on All Things Considered every Friday at 5:44 pm., with an encore dition Saturday at 6 a.m. during Weekend Virginia.

The show also airs 2 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday on Radio IQ.

We now have 15 rack locations

Our new issue comes out on Monday, which seems to a good time to update our list of rack locations.

We have now 15 locations around the Roanoke and New River valleys where you can pick up a free copy of The Blue Ridge Business Journal. That’s up one from the last issue.

The latest location is at Radford University. Specifically, Whitt Hall. The College of Business and Economics asked for a rack, saying the journal was often used in classes there.
