It looks like I will be able to cancel my hard-copy subscription. I am sad about that but no reason to spend the money if most of it is available for free. You guys may want to consider tying the comments in with Facebook if there is a problem with trolls. That's what Richmond T-D did and the anonymous hatred and threats in the comments section disappeared. May not be needed here.

I look very forward to viewing the newly designed site! The Roanoke Times, whether in paper or digital form, has always been a serious hometown newspaper that does a lot with a little, covers a wide geographic area, and gets to the heart and soul of the important news. It is comprehensive, it is unbiased in the reporting of it's "hard news", and it reaches-out constantly to the community it serves to seek input from all readers and residents. Congratulations on a job that has and still is always very well done. My hometown paper has always made me proud!

Very well produced video! The aspirations of a community are first seen in the quality of the communications that come out of it. And they rightfully feed off of each other. I am proud to be originally from the Roanoke Valley when I see this level of work, how well it relfects on and is reflective of the community and the talents of its people. Keep it up!

Great video! Roanoke.com has come a long way, but Dan Casey's blog remains the same -- same people making same comments. But maybe that's the way you want it.
