You mean a “comptroller”? Or an air traffic controller?

We mean a controller. Thanks for the question — I learned something new because of it: Both “comptroller” and “controller” are pronounced the same. As explained in this Knoxville News Sentinel story, “comptroller” refers to a government financial officer, while “controller” is used for the equivalent role in private companies.

Is the controller position still open, or have you filled it already? Thanks.

The controller listing remains featured on our careers page (http://www.roanoke.com/careers/), so applications are still being accepted.
