Ropers

I loved this photo that Matt Gentry shot at the Stampede Championship Rodeo earlier this month.

Rodeo ropers Will McCraw (left) of East Bend, N.C. and Cory Honeycutt, of Mooresville, N.C. practice next to their horse trailers prior to competing in the Stampede Championship Rodeo in the Salem Civic Center on Jan. 6, 2013. Both ropers were registered to compete against each other in the team roping competition later in the day, but that didn’t stop them from hanging out together before going into the arena.
