Zebra

I’ve always wanted to ride a zebra. So when Stephanie Klein-Davis came into the office several months ago and told me she found a story — about a girl who owns and rides a zebra — I was crazy jealous.  I really enjoyed hearing about “Joey” every time Stephanie went out to the farm to shoot.

Not all of Stephanie’s photos made it into the story that ran earlier this month, so I’m going to share a couple of them here.

Shea Inman rides Joey bareback around the ring during a training session. He behaves well. She works him just long enough for him to follow instructions for making some turns. She likes to end on a positive note. Inman, 18, bought Joey three years ago and has spent two years training him. Until recently, the pair lived in Franklin County.
