Sad news involving TV meteorologist

BREAKING NEWS: WSET (Channel 13)’s Jamey Singleton was extricated and airlifted this morning following a head-on traffic accident that also injured two other men in Bedford County.  Singleton has been an on-camera meteorologist occasionally for Channel 13 while serving as a web producer and in the past was a meteorologist for WSLS (Channel 10) and Cable 12  in Franklin County.

Thoughts and prayers for his recovery and that of the other men injured in the accident.

The morning mixed precipitation is past, and though it’s mild now, some breezy weather  behind a cold front will renew the cold weather for Wednesday. By Thursday night and early Friday, we have yet another in this series of borderline, possible-mix, possible-not winter weather situations. More on that later this evening.

There continue to be some technical glitches on the blog in which it cuts off comments after 50 have been made. That’s part of why I started this new thread.

Thoughts go out to all involved..
Evenly to the ones diminished to one or two
sentences at the end of the report.
Thankfully U.S. highway fatality rates are on the decline.
from over 44,000 in 1990 to under 34,000
    in 2009.
