Slight risk of severe weather in Southwest VirginiaPosted Mar28, 2007 at 09:37 AMMost of Southwest and Southside Virginia south of Roanoke is under a slight risk of severe weather this afternoon and evening, according to the Storm Prediction Center. According to the SPC, there is a 15 percent chance of severe-level hail (3/4 inch or larger) occurring within 25 miles of any given location in the risk area, a 5 percent chance of severe-level wind (58 mph or greater) and a 2 percent chance of tornadoes. |
