Craig Eckstein holds off on a big buck — once!
Craig Eckstein was hunting in Bedford County during the firearms season when he saw a nice deer near his stand. Being that it was just the first week of the season he decided to hold off, and instead of shooting the deer with his gun shot him with his video camera.
“Afterwards, nearly all my hunting buddies told me I was crazy for letting him walk,” Eckstein reported.” I usually dont give in to that peer pressure. But he showed back up a week later, and just looked bigger the 2nd time around – so I changed my mind and shot him! ”
I’d say Eckstein’s friends were right in this case. What a pretty buck!

That is a beautiful buck. The sweep of the rack is crying out for a wall mount. We all need friends who give that kind of good advice!

Great Deer, Beautiful Rack!
Congratulations Craig !
you are very fortunate….. those big bucks don’t often give you a “second” chance.

Wow… If you passed on that nice buck, you must’ve seen some huge monsters in there! He’s a beaut!
