Luke Faber is catching crappies! How about you?

I stole this shot off my friend Erich Faber’s Facebook page. This is his son Luke with one of the 16 crappies the pair pulled in at Smith Mountain Lake on Wednesday evening.

What a great fish, and great shot!

The crappies are moving into shallow brush well, so now is the time to get after them!

Dude that’s a sweet crappie! Way to go bud.

Ralph, we need to get together and do a little night fishing soon since my stinking boat aint running. Bank fishing stinks and I can only get so far on my trolling motor. Lol.

Luke, you better stop catching so many fish. People are not going to want to take you fishing with them if you keep pulling them in like that! Just kidding, good catch young fella.

J.R. – sorry to hear about your boat motor…. I know that’s a bummer. Unfortunately all my fishing dates are pretty much booked up through the end of April….. maybe next month might have an opening. I’ll holler at you and let you know…. I think I have your Email address if it hasn’t changed.

By the way there is some great SML night fishing close to several launching sights so maybe you CAN get out there with just your trolling motor. In my last 3 night fishing outings I have only burnt 4 gallons of gas total…… I’m not running far at all and I’m catching fish!

    Ralph,
I fished Friday nite with the trolling motor and caught bass. I’ll email you in more details.
