Cathy Wright’s first deer is a beauty

Last year I was at Fleet Feet Sports picking up a new pair of running shoes when I met Cathy Wright. She started asking me about bowhunting.

Cathy said she had started bowhunting but hadn’t yet killed a deer. I told her it was only a matter of time.

So a couple of days ago she sent me an email with a couple pictures. It started out, “I’m not sure if you remember me…”

I had to laugh. How would I forget the young woman in the running store who was totally amped about bowhunting!?

How about starting your bowhunting career with a great eight-pointer, which she killed the in Botetourt County on opening day.

Congratulations, Cathy, and keep it up!
