This is a suburban property with some acreage, but there are neighbors. And one of those neighbors has dogs. Lots of dogs.
This isn’t one of them. But this is what they look like. At least this is what they act like.
The dogs bark. A lot.
I deal with it because the place is close (I am working in the office tonight so only had time for a quit hitter) and the hunting can be pretty good. But this evening the barking was off the charts.
I could hear the band from the Hidden Valley high school football game at Bogle Stadium, so maybe that’s what had the dogs so wound up. I don’t know. I couldn’t hear myself think, let alone hear any deer approaching. So, naturally, the three does that did come in (from behind me, of course!) saw me before I could see them and spooked.
As I was leaving, the landowner was leaving, too. He said he was on his way to get a tape recorder to record the barking. I don’t blame him. If I had to live with that noise day after day after day I would have sought legal help long, long ago.
