Earl Blanchard goes “urban” and kills a great buck

My friend Earl Blanchard killed this great nine-point buck the other evening while hunting an “urban” tract in the New River Valley.

Killing female deer is an important mission while hunting urban and suburban spots, but once the regular season hits and bucks become fair game, those areas can provide some excellent hunting for mature whitetails.

I love that bladed G-3 on the left side.

I also love the fact that Earl is not wearing socks. He’s an avid adventure racer so maybe that’s a carryover!
