Ben McDearmon thrilled with his heavy nine-pointer.

Ben McDearmon was hunting on private land in Franklin County on Nov. 7 when he dropped this stud 9-pointer

According to his dad, Richard,25-year-old Ben is on Cloud Nine.

You think? With its dark, gnarly, heavy antlers, this buck is just awesome. Here’s what Rich wrote about the hunt:

“Ben had seen this buck during archery season without an opportunity for a shot. On the morning of November 7, Ben had just settled into his climbing tree stand when he heard something coming his way. This buck was trotting toward him and into one of his shooting lanes. The deer emerged from behind a poplar tree unaware of Ben – who shot him with his .50 caliber muzzleloader. Ben went home and brought his wife Tiffani out into the woods to take the photograph. He estimated the deer’s weight to be 200 pounds before field dressing. He is getting this “wall hanger” mounted.”

I think this one is worthy of the wall!
