Ben Newbill drops a great public land buck

Ben Newbill shot this great eight-pointer at 8:32 a.m. on the muzzleloader opener on public land. He didn’t say WHAT public land, and I guess I don’t blame him!

Here’s his report: “I shot him at 71 yards, after he pushed  seven does past me.  He had 11 1/2-inch G-2′s and a 15 1/2-inch  spread with one broken G-3.  I was using a TC-Encore Prohunter .50 cal. with 300 gr. Hornaday SST bullets and 120 grains of  Triple 7 powder.  I hope everyone can get out and hunt, the bucks are really pushing the does right now.”

What a pretty buck!
