Is this the buck Chris Stevens killed?

Ryan Millard sent me these shots of a deer he was hoping would walk by his stand this season. He’s pretty sure it’s the same buck Chris Stevens killed. I agree. Anyone disagree?

Here’s what Ryan wrote:  “I was wondering if Chris Stevens gave you any more info about the Poor Mountain buck you posted a pic of on your blog?  Did he say he was near 12 o’clock knob road?? Because I’ve been after a buck that looks a lot like his since I got trail cam pics of it back in September.  I called it the Texas buck because of the tall rack and long tines. … This deer really caught my fascination – what a pretty deer!  And it wasn’t the biggest or most dominant.  Congrats to Mr. Stevens on a great trophy!  It’s not every day you pull up the Wild Life and see THE deer you’ve been hunting!  Now I’m curious to where he was harvested and how far that big boy traveled!?”

I hope Chris jumps in with a little more information on this deer.

Meanwhile, I keep waiting for someone to send me pictures of a deer I had on trailcam at one of my spots, but one that I haven’t seen this season. It’s one that would get some attention!

Ryan it is the same buck. I sent Mark another pic of him from the front, maybe he will post it. It is awesome to see trail pictures of him since the bears continuously ripped my camera down. The old saying “just sit for 10 more minutes” paid off. I didn’t see anything all morning and it was getting cold on top of the mountain. I told myself to stay just a little longer. He kind of appeared out of nowhere walking straight up to me on a old fire road. Like I commented earlier I’m lucky to have him as a trophy.

Per Chris’ request I’ve attached the front view of the deer. It’s clearly the same deer.
