Matthew Boyd shows Mom how it’s done

Fran Boyd of Pulaski sent in this great shot of 9-year-old son, Matthew, who killed this cool eight-point buck on youth day while hunting with her and husband, William. Here’s Fran’s report:

“This was the first time I had ever been hunting for deer so it was an adventure with him. We hit the stand at 5:30 a.m. and
listened to deer moving all around us with a beautiful full moon. Matthew  was starting to make out deer as day broke  and we looked at a couple and he  decided to pass. Then about 80 yards away there came this beauty. My 9-year old nailed him, and the buck ran just a short distance. When his Dad looked at the shot he said, ‘That deer was running dead.’”

Congrats on a great deer and on the great first hunt for Mom!
