Nino, great NF buck! I'm sure Luca was excited to see this buck. It was a great team effort as always to get the buck out. I hope we get to do it again this season.

Thanks Mark and sorry the details didn't get through, I think I was e-mailing during the long drag, dang smart phones!

This was definitely a national forest deer and I owe lots of thanks to my buddies (you know who you are) for the help dragging and carting. It took us over 2 hours to get him out. It sounds like a lot of time, but we left the truck at 4:45 AM and I got to my treestand at 6:10, so I hiked without a deer for 1:25 minutes. Dragging really wasn't all that bad especially the downhill part, good thing he wasn't bigger (I thought he was when I shot!). We saw quite a few small bucks looking hard on Saturday, yearlings and 2.5 year olds like this buck.

Thanks for posting everyone's deer, something I know many look forward to during the season. For those who have had a slow season so far, I'd say stick with it, lots and lots of big bucks are shot in the Nov. 20s (after the first breeding cycle).
