Hunter King kills two great Montgomery County bucks

Andrew Lewis Middle School assistant principal Chris King sent in these two great shots of his son, Hunter, with Hunter’s first deer. Here’s the report:

“The six-point with the broken off main beam was taken the opening day of muzzleloading season on private land in Montgomery Count. He weighed in right at 200 pounds on the hoof!

The eight-point was taken out of the same stand on the opening day of rifle season with his .243 Weatherby Youth Model at 1:15 in the afternoon as he was chasing a doe.  He’s had a heck of a season for only being in the stand a total of 5 hours!”

No kidding he’s had a heck of a season! He’s going to get spoiled at this rate! Congrats to Hunter and Chris.

Great job Hunter….and Hunter is such a cool name. I think if I would have had a son I would have levied to have named him Hunter. (Sorry Mary Cathrine)

Great job Hunter I love to see kids wanting to hunt and keep the tradition going on in the family. My grandson killed his first buck this season too.

Congratulations, Hunter. Two great trophies for sure. I encourage every sportsman to take a kid hunting or fishing. If we do not instill in our youth those values and traditions that we were brought up to enjoy, it will be lost forever. By getting kids involved in the great outdoors, we will be planting the seeds of resource stewardship in the minds and hearts of tomorrow’s leaders.
