I didn’t go….. I have a problem with the fee to get in. I shouldn’t have to pay to go somewhere to shop….. just my opinion…

It was good seeing you this afternoon. The crowd really never picked up much. There was some hope it would pick up prior to the concert. Last year the Saturday crowd was really good. Let’s hope for the best. I would hate to see Roanoke loose the show.

I had the privilege a few years ago of being in a group of about seven or eight people who sat in on a “seminar” with Mr. Weishuhn. I put seminar in quotes because it was more like sitting with a friend who was sharing his knowledge on a topic he loved. It was at the Rockbridge show and the Sunday afternoon crowd was very light with cold and blustery weather. He was as down to earth and personable as your next door neighbor. He also is a walking encyclopedia on whitetail hunting. I recommend every one who goes this weekend to make sure you sit in on his seminar.

I’ve never heard of Larry W. I just googled the name though…

The NRA “incentive” would not keep me from going to the show if I really wanted to go, but I would never join it. I hunt, shoot, reload, and own many guns, but the NRA is too extreme for me. And they usually support candidates that I would never vote for.

Tomorrow is the last day of turkey season. I killed one last year on the last day. I think I’ll try for one again.

I just left the show. It was slow, which is no surprise with this weather. Because I saw a bunch of friends I enjoyed it. The crowd was light so I was able to do a lot of yakking, including with Larry Weishuhn, whom I hadn’t met. He was cool. He’ll be around all weekend and will be doing seminars.

Again, it’s a small show, but there were some interesting vendors. Some had pretty good deals on stuff, so if you plan to buy a few things you’ll make up the cost of admission.
