It was a great to see my fellow outdoors communicators for lots of brain-picking, as well as many of the OWAA supporting groups who shared messages with us regarding their missions and products. (For example, I got to shoot the new Parker Tornado F4 crossbow, which was pretty awesome. I’ll post more later about stuff I tried and liked at the conference.)
During the loooonggg drive back yesterday I got a call from a hunting buddy/landowner regarding the upcoming deer season. The property has lots of hardwoods, and the acorn crop has been really heavy the past two years. It made the hunting pretty tough as the deer didn’t have to travel much.
Well, that shouldn’t be a problem this year. He said he isn’t seeing much in the way of acorns.
What are you all seeing out there?
